Operational Land Imager (OLI)
Main objectives
• Collect and archive moderate-resolution, reflective multispectral and thermal image data globally (over land).
• Ensure that data are consistent with data from the earlier Landsat missions, to permit studies of land cover and land use change over multi-decadal periods.
• Distribute standard data products to users at no cost.
